We never saw it coming
Never knew what would unfold

Bringing a new life into this world
We hold the bundles in our arms
Then watched them spread their wings
Tried to help along the way
With what wisdom we could bring

They’ve gone from boys to men
On a path to who knows where

Their dreams

It’s not an easy journey
There’s many bumps along the way
They’ve barely started walking

When that’s the last thing on their minds
